Jeff Ryan, FACHE

CEO

Jeff Ryan serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Healthcare Services. Formally trained as a physical therapist and athletic trainer he earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Temple University, a master’s degree in physical therapy from Hahnemann University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from The Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Prior to joining the Legacy team, Jeff served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) - Philadelphia. Prior to that, he served as the Director of Operations at Hahnemann University Hospital and later, as the Chief Operating Officer of the Hahnemann University Hospital Physician Practice Plan. He has also held several leadership positions in rehabilitation at Pennsylvania Hospital and with the Temple University Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine where he also served as a Clinical Instructor.

Jeff has also served as a board member for the National Athletic Trainers ; Association Research ; Education Foundation and as a board member and President of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. He has also served on several community and charitable boards as both a board member and president.
Jeff is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has received several professional awards, including the Stegman Award during his time at the Carey School of Business at The Johns Hopkins University and the Carlin Award from the Hahnemann Physical Therapy Program. He has authored/co-authored two textbooks, numerous textbook chapters and scientific articles, and has made over 200 professional presentations.
In his personal time, he and his wife enjoy spending time with their five children and their three dogs while hiking, kayaking, golfing, traveling, attending concerts, and gardening.

Jeff Fink

Vice President of Human Resource

Jeff joined the company in 2014 as National Director of Recruiting and currently serves as VP Human Resources and Recruiting. Jeff has an extensive career in Human Resource Management covering manufacturing, consulting, consumer goods, and healthcare businesses. Leadership positions include Human Resource specialty, senior management and officer roles in both public and private companies including Kayser Roth Hosiery, CP Morgan Communities, Premier Inc. and Liberty Hardware/Masco. Jeff is active on advisory boards for community/educational institutions in the North Carolina area and various Human Resources associations. He received his bachelors in Political Science and Urban Administration from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and his Masters in Business Administration from the McColl School at Queens University. Jeff also hold the Senior Professional Human Resources Certification.

Gil Wilson, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Gil is responsible for the company’s financial operations, business analysis, financial and operational planning, treasury, tax, and financial reporting. Prior to joining Legacy Healthcare, he served as Vice President, Finance at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions and was the finance leader for two major business units as well as other emerging businesses within Allscripts. He places a strong emphasis on integrity, quality and customer service. His management style encourages collaboration and transparency, partnering across resource teams to achieve financial and operational targets.

Gil graduated from East Carolina University, College of Business and is a CPA.

Charles Hale

Chief Information Officer

Charles serves as the Chief Information Officer of Legacy Healthcare Services. In that capacity he utilizes his depth of knowledge to provide the information and technology to operate the organization as efficiently as possible. Charles has years of experience securing data and systems. His top priority is to protect the data that is entrusted to the organization by its customers and patients. Charles holds a Master’s Degree in Network Technology and Information Security. Additionally he is a Certified Information System Security Professional.

Phil came to Legacy in 2005 with over 13 years of Long Term Care experience as the General Manager for Sales and Marketing for one of the South's largest providers of medical supplies, pharmacy services and Part B billing services. Phil's responsibilities include new business development, contract negotiations, Marketing, Association relations, and Regional Account Executive training.

Ann Irwin, MS, CCC/SLP

Vice President of Clinical Programming and Development

Ann's love of science and language led her to a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987. In her early career, Ann worked in an in-patient rehabilitation center. There, her love of cognitive rehab was reinforced as she treated patients with brain injury from trauma, stroke, and illness. Since 1996, she has focused her practice in long term care settings, first as a therapist, then as a manager. Ann joined Legacy Healthcare Services as an Area Rehab Manager in 2001. She is inherently curious, loves to learn and to teach.

Melissa Hale, OTR/L

Senior Vice President of Operations

Melissa Hale serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Legacy Healthcare Services. She received her bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. Melissa started her career as a Staff Occupational Therapist on the Brain Injury and Stroke Team at South Eastern Regional Rehab Center in Fayetteville, NC. From here, Melissa moved to Florida to jumpstart her career in the geriatric rehab setting and served in many positions with a long-term care group in the Tampa Bay area. Since, Melissa has held multiple roles with Legacy for over 12 years including several Rehab Director positions and an Area Rehab Manager position that oversaw multiple states and clinics.

Melissa is also an active member of the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association (NCOTA). She particularly enjoys partnering with customers to ensure complete satisfaction, fostering positive outcomes for residents, and assisting all them in realizing their goals and achieving financial success.

In her personal time, Melissa serves on the missions committee at her church and enjoys supporting youth sports. She spends time outside of work exercising, traveling, visiting the beach, and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and three children.

Kalina Cuarisma, PT

Vice President of Operations

Kalina graduated from the University of New England in Maine with a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She has been a Physical Therapist for over 15 years with experience in inpatient rehabilitation working primarily with traumatic brain injury. She then found her niche with the geriatric population in the long term care and rehab agency settings. She graduated from Pfeiffer University in 2007 with both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Administration degree. Kalina joined Legacy in 2010 as the Charlotte, NC Area Rehab Manager, later becoming the Regional Manager, then Vice President of Operations. She has always enjoyed helping patients achieve their highest level of function in order to remain in their home of choice. In her managerial role she enjoys cultivating talent by working closely with staff and fostering their passion for leadership development and clinical growth.

Lynette Kentgen, SLP

Vice President of Operations

Lynette Kentgen serves as the Vice President of Operations of Legacy Healthcare Service. She received a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Rush University in Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University. She has primarily served the geriatric population for over 20 years. She has a passion for swallowing disorders, as well as dementia care, and is a certified Dementia Care Specialist. She joined Legacy Healthcare Services in 2004 and since has held many roles within the organization. She started as an Area Rehab Manager and previously served as the Regional Director of Operations. As a manager, she thoroughly enjoys colleague collaboration and highly encourages clinical and leadership growth. In her personal time, she enjoys watching her two sons participate in football and basketball and traveling with her husband.
