“We find it to be beneficial for the residents we serve to be able to provide their balance score for them and our staff members the ability to utilize this piece of technology.”

Join us in the Lounge as host Katie Holterman, M.S. CCC-SLP, BCS-S, Senior Director of Clinical Programming & Development, and cohost Meredith Brunk, Director of Occupational Therapy Clinical Services, dive into the world of balance. The team met with Andrea Case-Rogers, Chief Experience Officer of ZIBRIO, the balance company, to discuss Legacy’s partnership with ZIBRIO and the six pillars of balance.

ZIBRIO Stability Scale (ZIBRIO) technology was introduced into Legacy communities earlier this year to determine specific fall risks in residents versus reacting once a fall happens. The purpose of the Stability Scale is to first increase the accuracy of fall risk assessment (it identifies up to four times more high-risk patients than current clinical methods), while the partnering application identifies the “why” behind an individual’s physical balance score by evaluating the “six pillars of balance.”

At Legacy Healthcare Services, our mission is to improve the health of senior adults so they may live life the way they want to live it through wellness, education, safety, rehabilitation, and caring. We utilize evidence-based clinical care to transform the lives of residents and empower them to live a life full of purpose, safety, and dignity. Our world-class therapists are available on-site within each community we serve.
